Since 1982, CAB Incorporated has been a preeminent leader in both manufacturing and global sourcing of waterworks pipe flanges in carbon and stainless steel up to 18 feet diameter.
In 1997 that large diameter expertise was leveraged to allow CAB to enter the wind tower flange market. Our knowledge and commitment to this newly developing industry has positioned CAB as North America's leading supplier of wind tower flanges. These flanges are up to 18 feet diameter and are installed on wind towers that can be more than 20 stories high. Our role in the wind market evolved to include the supply of wind tower components, including tower flanges, foundation embed and template rings, door frames, vent frames and various other wind tower items. Our Texas manufacturing facility continues to be enhanced to maximize U.S. based production of foundation embed and template rings as well as short run wind tower flange production.
The past fifteen years CAB has steadily built a team of some of the world's best foundry engineers, forgings experts, Six Sigma trained quality experts and multi-lingual managers to expand our role in industrial castings and forgings. We supply products in the oil & gas, automotive, mining, construction, agriculture, rail, hydraulics, pump, valve and OEM industrial equipment markets. CAB is experienced in supplying steel, iron, aluminum, stainless and alloy parts either, un-machined, rough machined or finish machined. Precision machined parts are no problem with our engineer and inspection teams both overseas and here at our facility in the U.S. Today, our extensive worldwide operations provide you the widest range of high quality international and domestic sources to compete in today's global market. All CAB factories have been CAB certified as quality strategic partner suppliers and conform to our overarching quality standards. We continually work with our partner factories to ensure quality standards are met, in a timely fashion, in order to avoid rejected products or unnecessary delays. CAB's efforts are focused on reducing our customers' Total Cost of Ownership through tight quality and process control. It is our goal to build long term strategic relationships with our customers and our suppliers, creating mutually beneficial business relationships that last a lifetime.
CAB's on-site staff works closely with partner foundries to ensure the implementation of both our own and customers' quality control standards. Every CAB factory has gone through a rigorous CAB quality control acceptance (audit) process with on-going on-site inspections.
Together with our customers, we design specific quality control procedures for each project. We then apply overarching quality control governance with a variety of methods including:
